Its been a long time...
I've been scarred, beaten, twisted, hated, confused...
Led to believe that I didn't count, that I was worthless and no one cared...
And It worked.
Who am I really?
Unloved.
Cold.
Alone...
At least in my heart and mind... and it scares me...
I died.
I felt alone, just alone...
Like no one could understand me.
I called for help, but no one heard me...
Or no one cared to listen.
Makes you think...
Life ain't easy, definetely not!
Been tough times, been good times...
Been hurt.
But what did I have? There had to be something.
Something that money, nor even time could buy...
Let alone make sense of any of it.
I remembered the boys, they were good boys.
We had fun, we had good times... even though we had tough times too.
But then it dawned on me.
Through all the pain, through all the struggle.
There was somthin' I held onto.
There was love.

I really realy like this poem. It's so full of heart wrenching emotion through out and then with an uplifting spirit of inspiration there at the end. Very nicely written.
Take care,
