I see it all,
I watch it happen,
I hear the screams,
I listen to the sobs.
I stare blankly at the sky,
looking for a glimpse of hopre from Him.
One, solitary tear streams down my face as
I ask one, solitary question:
"Why?"
I fall to my knees, weak,
trembling at the thought he'd leave us.
I wait for an answer,
full of doubt,
because
It won't come.
I stumble up,
I look again,
thinking maybe there's one last chance.
Hanging on to a ledge
is what I am,
one, solitary girl
in this dissillusioned world.
