the Indian bride came
‘cross moss-carpeted mud
and tangled-tree-vines,
with beads in her hair
and stars in her eyes,
took my hand
and said
“I am Kuwanyauma
and you are Enkoodabaoo-
be brave, young warrior,
strong and valiant,
for soon you will see
how these northern winters come:
Fierce, cold,
and beautiful.”

It's a very simple piece. Clean. Bright. I really liked that it was a conversation and a slice of life. Nice job.
Be well,
