tea leaves

Topic: oops

Watch out now,
I'm about to disappoint.
I'm only good for 1 in 5.

But just wait,
when that dial comes around
and picks up something powerful,
something that eclipses everything I've ever done.
I'll know lady luck placed a bet on me
and knew she couldn't lose
because she set the odds.

But I won't forget
what came before
because there,
I was searching
for a voice
that I could never quite find
unless it decided to slap me in the face
once and awhile.

These days are real
and littered with bad poetry
but all the crappy writes just build me up
until that dial comes round.

If only lady luck weren't laughing
at how pathetic this all is
in the background.

well i've written some shockers, particularly in my earlier works. but now i'm enjoying my poetry for the first time ever, and the words come so easily. i would put it all down to confidence, anyone can be a half decent poet if they have confidence.

a very creative angle to write this from
lady luck is a sneaky mistress isn't she?
keep writing them out...
you may be surprised at what comes out
love and smiles always
