A good way to live
Is to always give
A hundred percent in all you do
Be determined and confident, but patient too
True, your efforts may
Leave you in dismay
If they lead not to any success
And failure follows, leaving you in a mess
However, you should be
Wise enough to see
That unless you do the job in haste
Your worthy efforts never quite go to waste
The maturity you earn
The secrets you learn
Reduce the obstacles along your way
Creating more opportunities for you each day

Absolutely. Couldn't agree more, especially the last stanza regarding the little things learned on the way to lessen future obstacles. Nicely stated.
