No One Could Love You More (Than I Do)

Contributed by Chamaron on Thursday, 25th December 2008 @ 10:16:09 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

We’ve got these wild ideas
Of our happily ever after
We’ve got these wild dreams
We’ll fabricate with laughter.

Laying in your arms, I tell
The stories our hands weave.
For once I feel something,
Love I never want to leave.

Stepping stones to get to you,
Over raging rivers so bold.
But nothing could stop me
Once within your heart’s hold.

Words of ones once wise, I know
Be ever cautious, I really am.
But I’m ready to destroy
This emotionally isolating dam.

No man is an island, but can’t I be?
I was, until you rowed a boat to me.
Oh beautiful soul, how did you know?
To take a chance on someone ready to go?

So willingly, so innocently, so persistent
You are all I needed, wanted, could ask for.
There’s no way I could repay you,
But no one but I could love you more.

a very powerful, touching write. the first stanza was the best, the word 'fabricate' fitted perfectly in there, good job.
