The evening painter touches
the land with dimming green
and gives the trees an orange lace
as the sun departs the scene.
A web of mist is sparsely formed
to skim above the ground.
While water ripples by his strokes
giving eve a flowing gown.
A darkened sky behind the ridge
he adds with color gray.
A solo soul he paints in last
to bid farewell to day.
