It's not between, you and them,
As you may well have known.
Then tell me the way, that I have come.
To see the pain you've shown.
If you were nice, good or sweet,
In a futile attempt to please,
You'd be used to your extent,
And eventually, brought to your knees.
If you do, find peace, in this world,
Don't waste it all on them.
They don't deserve, what you have,
Alone, they are condemned.
Give the world, the best you've got.
It still, may never be enough.
But I'll console you, with my words...
The path to peace is rough.
