Unwritten Symphony

Contributed by LoveStruck_Hippie on Tuesday, 23rd December 2008 @ 04:43:22 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I have been there
Taken …
Betrayed, beguiled, bewildered
In Love …
Heart, Soul, and Mind
Entangled in rapture
Wanting, desiring, needing,
Desperate for your touch
Hesitant, naive, scared
Yet intrigued …
A single caress, breath, or word
Captured by your essence
I need you …
You are here …
At my side, drawn, encased
Yet distance rules your soul …
You are a huntsman, yet refuse to hunt
Ensnared by the debris cast before you
Easy prey that bears no resistance
Beaten, battered, and wounded
They cannot fight your prowess
Easy takings of the quest
As you feed on your quarry
Your mind lingers
Wishing, wanting, desiring
A life and a day you remember
Once from a dream
Unbridled passion, Love …
Was it? Is it Love?
Or is it a fantasy?
You beg for the memory
For the moment, that brings it to light
That one precious second that answers
The all of everything
Lost and alone you beg for understanding
You ask why … yet cannot stop there
And as each and every memory
Echoes across your soul …
The answer comes to you through the chasm …
A deep resounding note …
A heart that you betrayed held the final cord
Of the unwritten symphony
That one day you could have written

Peace
~Shannon~

Shannon, this is incredible!

There is a critically poetic look at love completely and utterly naked. When wrapped in
velvet words and beautiful raptures, it is the most resplendent thing on earth. But
as you've so eloquently expressed, when stripped of the dressings that make it the
most coveted emotion in the world, it can be gravely sad and unaffected.

This struck me in the heart, my dear friend. A very lonely existence when love is
a stranger. Wonderfully crafted and well executed, dear poet.

Pm me

*HUGE hugs*

Shannon,
you took the very being of your soul, that place deep and put it out here. I have a tear in my eye reading this.
You should grace the page more often with your poetic words and the love within your very soul my dear sister.

I love you!!
Hugs
Michelle

wow! Very impressive!
A frankness of the heart and soul so artistically done.
Sadness, but I so enjoyed reading this.
