For the guileless child they mooed,
Mourned the face minted thin
Upon a sliver-coin, printed on a carton
For the spree of white milk watershed
And left alone for rancid.
Cows did beckon.
Distended, pained, and stiff,
Like shuttling sheep bowing to a staff
Of nemesis-men.
Hollered for their inked brethren.
And scoped out willful wolf
Along the slopes, hides upon the hill-helm
To the home of farm.
Circled round the house in grief.
Saw halved upon the dinner-shelf.
