This makes me mad really because I had wrote a poem just yeasterday about the same thing and was going to put it in my journal for today but didn't post it right. It makes me mad because the other version turned out much better but all the same enjoy
You sit here talking to me
but I don't even hear you
I don't hear a single word
I'm in my own little world
I'm thinking not hearing a thing
You could yell, scream and shout
But nothing could stir me from thinking about
All the things in my head
about question I've head others have said
I don't know
I'm in la la land
and I don't hear a thing
and you sit and ask did you hear me
I way the word you really hate
What?
don't blame me I was thinking
In my own little world
not hearing a sound
Because I'm in la la land
Acting like nothing else is around

Ha! Yeah, being distracted is not a good thing sometimes. But can't be helped. Many of us dwell in la la land from time to time. :-)
Good description of it! I enjoyed this one.
