Congratulations

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

So you can walk from a broken heart
The loneliness never gets to you
And the tears never show

So I'm still here with a broken heart
Loneliness feeding on my soul
And the tears always show

But wounds always heal
This loneliness will leave my soul
My heart will once again smile

That loneliness will find you one day
When your lies have come undone
And bitterness has set in

But I won't be there to clean up your mess
I've spent too long investing everything
Getting nothing back

So you can try to walk from this broken heart
Pretend the loneliness doesn't bother you
But the tears are beginning to show

Wow, you really drive the message home and straight to the heart with this one, Karabeara! You're right though, wounds do heal but (sigh) the damn things can leave a scar.

You have really captured a spectrum of feeligs here, sadness, anger, and a happy positive note with that up swing where your heart will smile again. Don't know what's going on but....

Take care,

so I see some spunk in this write, which makes me happy in ways I'm not sure I could articulate. I really like this one, it has a nice finger jester moment at the end that I'll edit for unsuspecting readers.
