I can`t wait to present the presents that are presently in hidden places,
Under the tree, the wonderful glee beaming on my children’s faces,
Smiles bright, a years highlight, great fine sight on Christmas Mornin’,
The little Lady Stacey, Scott the tot and the biggest kid is Jordan,
This is a little chapter about little whipper snappers rippin’ wrappers,
One’s still in pampers, filled with laughter crackin’ Christmas crackers,
Gifts of tractors, remote control cars, robots, dolls ‘n bikes ‘n lots besides,
No wishes were ridiculous to mister Nicholas no matter what the size.
Glossy eyed, I watch in pride and ask them “What did Santy Bring?”
Psyched with delight they cry a reply “He didn`t forget any thing!”
A Queen and happy King are Mammy and Daddy singing festive tunes,
Amidst the noise of new toys and two boys I suddenly get the fumes,
The smell of food, my heart lifts at the thought of carrots and parsnips,
Stuffing mouths with stuffing, sprouts and turkey ‘n’ ham regardless,
While the hardships of darkness and wind and rain hit the window pane,
A day to treasure in a year of pressure, a day of pleasure with no pain,
I hope they always recall days like this and remember the plenty gifts,
‘Cause if any day’s worth remembering it’s December the twenty fifth!
