Favorite Time of Year

Tiny fragile pure white flakes
Swirling dances intercepting
They flow so lightly upon the air
And melt so quickly in my hand
This is my favorite time of year
With the smell of hot chocolate
And the cold wet snow
Life feels peaceful
Fulfilled even in this moment
The glow of red and green fill the room
As the snow creeps more and more
Towards my font door
So I settle down with my mug
Wrapped in blankets all cozy and warm
And watch me some Trailer Park Boys

You captured a delightful moment in this write.
I love the first snow of the year and the world seems perfectly still. Lovely poem.
