Sitting on my porch,
We watch the sun set fade away,
As we make a promise,
To be forever friends.
We gave each other a locket,
That we wore around our neck,
To show our everlasting friendship,
And the promise was had made.
Little did we know,
That our friendship would be so strong,
Even through all the struggles,
We always stuck together.
And now after seven years,
I sit on my porch,
Watching the sun set fade away,
Wondering what happened to our friendship,
As I sit alone, crying from all the pain.

Oh Kassidi - and I was expecting a happy ending - I'm sure the friendship is still there - time divides such things from time to time. Anyway youv'e a bundle of new friends here for sure!
Keep ya chin up!

This is sad Katie because you obviously had such a close friendship. Even though you have grown apart now, noone can take away the happy times you had. It's a lovely, heartfelt poem.
Lots of love
