Whispers in the dark

Contributed by shelby on Tuesday, 2nd December 2008 @ 02:10:15 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Our magic that sifted within the eve
and folded near our heart and dreams......
Seems to slowly be slipping away, away.
Where did that moment go when it all began to fade?

The difference in night and day and the absence in this life.
Your absence, the poetic words and whispers in the dark.
Our moon-beams and starry nights and stardust mixed with mornings dew.
Where did the magical moments so suddenly disappear to?

I oft wonder if you still feel that magic wherever it is you are?
If you know that I still care from deep within the recesses of a drifters heart.
Our spirits always aloof yet kindred is what they are....
Tonight I think of you, and send whispers in the dark from afar.....

and I just miss you....................

This was a wonderful expression of loss and missing someone. You related your emotions beautifully and this is certainly poetic. This is the poetic equivalent to the candle light vigil. The only difference is this person seems to be very much alive and hopefully these words will beam light to his/her place and they will return to a part of your life. An excellent piece of poetry!
