As Magic Sleeps

Contributed by Rali_Shayne on Monday, 1st December 2008 @ 12:45:27 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Poetry this night hung from the heavens;
as clouds, as stars, as a waning moon.
Poetry this night lied resting in my heart
as sleeping magic upon a parallel pillow.
Never is a place;
a place where I can touch her enough,
a place where a single kiss is all I need,
and I never starve for her sweat, her flesh.
Ever is a destiny;
a place where poets rhyme eternally,
a place where lovers know true ecstasy,
and I ever fall into her eyes completely.

She is the lost paradise of men gone mad,
and I am the stumbling and enchanted fool.
She is the quill which inks the only romance
that I will ever want or feel the need to know.
Hell is a place;
built on the hot coals of incomplete love,
a place where I can no longer trust her smile,
a place where I can no longer feel her sleep.
Heaven is a destiny;
a place where she dances the perfect imagination,
a place where her tears are only the morning dew,
and I am only lost in the bliss of God, love, muse.

I'm cynical of Love.
I'm a bitter and foolish young man.
But this really is quite beautiful.
Love the style too.

God, Rali, that is just impeccably beautiful!! I've loved
this piece since the day you shared it with me. But for
some reason, this day it seems more close to the heart.
I hope you never lose your vision. I hope you never lose
your faith. I hope you never have to feel what it is to
lose your own heart. It is devastating to say the least.

I miss you on here. I miss your poetry. Please come back.
It somehow kept me grounded, knowing you were out there
writing.

peace and love to you, always,

~ Breezy
