This time of year...yeah, I have those days...more often than not. It's a hollow feeling and you've captured it here.

Damn, I hate that you of all people should be feeling this. It's bad enough
the circumstances of where you are and all .. not to mention life's
little difficulties ....
Hold on to hope, Steve. I have had days like this and even LONGER
moments when I'd like to kick Hope's, well, you know what. But
she has never failed me. I have to believe. She never gives up,
even when we do.

We all have those days Steve. But I think you have days most of us are blessed to not have. It is for your sacrifice and your choice and conviction to duty that most of us don't have those days.
You are a hero (though I am sure you won't accept that title). Not only for your place in life, but for your ability to take more than most of us can and not only survive but find things to muse about (and yes even do this). I know there is hope within you. It fills up the mind when your words are expressed.
I know you will find a reason for your hope for God will find you well in something which makes more sense someday soon. It is we who have hope and faith in you. It is your conviction that makes those feelings validated.
BRAVO!
