Topic: SadPoetry

Encompassing darkness consumes me,
a place where even the strongest light cannot shine.
Chained by my feelings of doubt, I long to be free.
All alone with no one to whom I can call “mine.”
Never knowing the tenderness of a woman's gentle touch,
Never hearing the soft, soothing voice of a one whom I could love,
Just someone to hold, be with, and caress, I didn't think it was much.
One whom I could share my whole self with, longingly, I look into the sky above.
Slowly, I begin to sink into the deep depths of despair,
pondering my purpose in life
wondering if anyone would even care,
why must I endure such strife?
As I begin to lose my will to carry on,
I hear off in the distance a faint voice.
Suddenly all my doubts and worries are gone,
My life shall begin to change with this one choice!
“Come,” said the voice so reassuring and kind,
And with the simple command my journey had begun.
The girl who I've dreamed of I must find,
I promise myself... “I shall find the one.”
