She Doesn't Need Me

Contributed by juliette on Friday, 21st March 2003 @ 03:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

She borrows the light in spite of dark shadows
Closes her eyes to the blinding pain
Learned how you can’t take precious dreams for granted
Lost her first real love at such a young age
And if her hearts grown colder
it’s because they told her lies
Tried to make her deny how she’s reeling inside
How can they know what she needs
If they think she doesn’t need me?

Bright is her world when they ever dare face her
Selfishly to look past all that lies beneath
Means admitting there is more to life than what they can offer
Oh, and I love this child who is out of my reach.
Don’t you know that her heart grows colder
Cause she can see right through the lies
Don’t deny that she hurts: what she’s feeling inside
How can you possibly know what she needs
If you think she doesn’t need me?

Dear Juliette .. your pain is a hundred times worse than mine and I truly have no words to express how sorry I am for you. This is a very deep heartfelt write - an excellent poem - very well written... Jan

I truly believe that there is no pain like that of a mother who has been seperated from her child but I promise you this - she thinks about you every day. Knowing that you love her will sustain her until you can see each other again. Breaktaking poem by the way!!

This is so touching. Brought tears to my eyes.
She knows that you love her. She loves you also.
This is a pain too hard to comprehend.
I wish you the best. Sending you a prayer to mend a broken heart.

This is so very sad. I have watched the pain my son is going through not being with his daughter and the fear of the lies being told her. All you can do is send her your love in spirit. Beautiful write I will keep you in my prayers.
