Cold blows the wind of life upon the dreams of what could be…
Her arms should be my destiny..
My heart wakes, as my day begins…but not yet…not yet…
For uncertainty begins, tempered with unrelenting hope.
Before the battle that all must ensue, with the barbaric hoards of
depression and responsibility, the thought of her must be embraced, for
without her love…the fight is lost before it begins. The heart would be
lost without a word.
The thought, the taste, the feel of her rises with the sun and the
tenderness of what we were and are still lingers…
My heart had not known of a home, as a home is known, for not till she
came to my bed had my heart felt that word…and she willingly, for
the love she has for me is strong.
As a bird on the twig of a fragile branch, her love waits for me…a love
known by few if any…A twig made fragile by the foolishness of me..
Her eyes seek for answers that come not easily, yet my heart is forever
hers..thus it has ever been…and hers alone. I seek so many ways to tell
her this, but in my weakness…
My eyes dare not stray from her, for if they should, she may fly away,
leaving me to face this battle alone…A hopeless shell of a man left in
it’s wake.
So with heart on fire and strengthened by the hope she has for me…for
us, I turn to meet the day…longing to be hers in every way and to
mend the fragile twig that keeps her love for me ever near…ever strong.
My day has begun…Strength and Honor, My love…Strength and Honor…
