Sitting, pen in hand,
flurries of words and mangled thoughts
stream through my once empty mind.
There is no way I could ever
interwine these emotions, every single one,
in the ink and
eternally trap them on this paper.
I reach out to grab the intangible
and watch nothingness slip into my fingers.
I find comfort there.
If I've lost control, lost sanity,
then what have I to fear?
Gone are the phobias of frivolous things,
such as embarrassment and death.
But I am still stuck here,
the torrents of meaningless memories
thrashing in my head.
Distressed, I crumple the paper.
Unable to cry, I fall to my knees.
Will this ever end?
