my secret pain.....

Contributed by puppy on Wednesday, 19th November 2008 @ 08:36:13 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

i can not do this anymore,
i feel lost and alone not knowing which way to turn,
i am around so many people but nobody sees that iam hurting inside,
they see my as happy and bubbly all the time,
but they can not see that each smile is torture and each giggle is forced,
i want to talk to someone,
someone i can just pour my heart out too,
but that someone is gone he left me alone,
now i have to be strong all the time,
i have to hold it together,
they mustn't see me cry,
so i shall continue on as i always do,
each morning i wipe way the tears,
apply a fresh smile,
i shall hide my pain and become a cold hearted shell....

I can most definetly relate to that. Eventually, I broke down and snapped on pretty much everybody. My someone had left me too. I know how much it all hurts.

I think so many of us feel we have to have a "public" and a "private" face.
Is it really a weakness to show feelings, or has society just worn that idea into us ?
Thought provoking

Steve
