The smell of rot in the air
Will it be my hope

I can't pretend to understand what it's like over there right now, but you've painted a vivid image with three simple lines.
Please stay strong. You're in my prayers.
Be well,
Loende |

My friend when we are here and all of you are there we often do not even have a clue.
I could not even imagine. My husband has told me things that made me weep....(true) about war in the real moments.
This is so powerful with three lines it made me sit back.
You be safe and return soon back home ok?
I always have a candle for ya my friend and thanks for what you are doing every day over there.
Hugs and love with blessing mixed in fairy dust.

I'm speachless.
These three lines pack a really big punch, my friend.
I'm with shelby, please stay safe.
I don't know where home is for you but any where would be better than there, I'm sure.
You know I appreciate the sacrifces that you'll make to keep every thing going etc. Most friends wouldn't risk their lives for a stranger.
I don't pretend to understand it all but I do understand Milatary. My son was in the Army, his Dad, an ex, was in the navy.
God bless you'll and keep you safe.
Luv, huggs, prayer, peace, hope,
emy |

Steve, this is a truly impactful haiku. So many images drive
the mind to frenzy from so few words. And knowing what you
are and continue to go through, (both at home AND abroad)
gives this that much more power.
As always, you are in my thoughts and prayers. This has gone
on far too long. I hope it helps to know that you have many
supporters here. :)
