Feathers.

Too soon we blamed our weakness,
In the eyes of salvation
we both stumbled upon failure.
In our forced romance
we bloomed in poison meadows,
Trying to grow in desperation
In the darkness of our most vivid dreams.
Our fictional kisses are tainted with reality,
Something that we both fear,
But in our poison world,
Fear is a bittersweet memory.
The raining feathers that wrote our story
Burn in the skies as they fall,
And slowly they land in the lake where we will drown.
We will drown.

You know...this poem really resonates with me. I have lived it, and I can appreciate the way that you were able to present it. It's simple and yet so very complex. I just love it.
Be well,
Loende |
