Rain

Contributed by karoody on Thursday, 20th March 2003 @ 11:45:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Let the rain come down in our eyes-
For everything we see
Is now a memory
Of all that used to be.

Let the rain come down in our eyes-
For everything we love
Is like a little dove
Flying too far above.

Let the rain come down in our eyes-
For everything we built
Is reduced to guilt
As it's covered in filth.

Let the rain come down in our eyes-
And wash it all away
So that maybe one day
Our children can all play.

Something really warming about this poem. Saying that life can be hard but we are optimistic that we can make it better. Really lovely poem.
