Essence of a dream

Contributed by enamat on Tuesday, 11th November 2008 @ 05:07:33 AM in AEST
Topic: SecretLove

Sometimes he is a dim dark figure
walking across snowy hills,
disappearing suddenly though
coldness and memory.

Sometimes he is standing tall
on top of the mountain
I am the annoying noise
disturbing his melody.

Sometimes he is just one in the crowd
stopping for a second
to see who is calling.

Sometimes I am the only one he’s got
but I am the one who is falling.

Sometimes I am saving his life
curing him from a hell’s night.

Sometimes he is dying in front of me
in a gloomy room at the end of the world,
in shivering silence he’s rushing
to meet his end
and only then I understand
I am the gutless one.

Sometimes he is tragically wasted
sobriety left him for good.
Armors are melting
and words are useless
in presence of our open wounds.

But,
Always he is poetry
essence of a dream
oxygen in breath
darkness in death.

Very cleverly crafted, leaving me wondering who this
haunting person is. My advice, which is the best advice
I've ever heard (:> is this:

Whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise, think on these things. Phillipians 4:8.
BLESSINGS,
Robert Edgar Lawdog Burns

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
