Aut Vincere Aut Mori

Contributed by Opium on Thursday, 20th March 2003 @ 08:45:00 PM in AEST
Topic: political

Propaganda on a nation to drive it onto war
Over its destruction to reach the battle-score
Thousands of years civilization all burned to the ground
Another conquest over humanity to add it on the mound

We look to this bloodshed accepting what we find
Supreme art of strategy playing on the mind
A game of power, for humans to compete
Where victory is to survive and death is defeat

Sport the war, war support; domination is what we live for
Life is just another confrontation where we fight forevermore

Civilians seek a shelter to save their own lives
As the flying machines on death wings soon arrives
Painting the ground below and the horizon overhead
With the colors of hell's fire and a touch of blood red

The whole episode will soon enter history
Talking all about triumph but never misery
All massacres will be lost between its pages
Only a bedtime story survives through the ages

Sport the war, war support; domination is what we live for
Life is just another confrontation where we fight forevermore

Aut Vincere Aut Mori, the siren words for war

This is really good. I like it.....

It sucks the way this war is going.... and obviously you don't agree. I'm glad I live in Canada... and Jean Cretian did what he did...

No I don't agree to any bloodshed, but that's just the way it is, and this is just a poem

I wish that we could have solved our problems without having to risk the lives of innocent civilians. War should be an ABSOLUTE last resort. There were so many things that were not even attempted.

It really makes me feel sad to think that the world has come to this.

u have described the situation during and after the war in a "beautiful way" though nothing is beautiful abt the war...
"The whole episode will soon enter history
Talking all about triumph but never misery "
they measure triumph by the number of casulties!imagine!how insensitive
