Birthdays come and birthdays go
I’ve had 40 I should know
Wet ones, sad ones, good ones bad
Just a few of some I have had
But the best ones ever are with you
No matter in the end what we do
The gift you give when you smile
This is my medicine in a vial
And the warmth it does bring
To hear your voice when you sing
A lullaby to ease my heart
The morning sun for the day to start
