the man stand tall and skinny
and wore his gaunt faced grin
the grin that would send shivers down your spine
and get beneith your skin
for he had black beatie eyes
and his nose long and flared
no one ever faced him
no one ever dared
he wore his long white hair slicked back
and always wore a black suit with tails
they were long and pointed him
and behind him it trails
this old man haunts me in life and in my dreams
maybe to resemble my fear
the fear that he'll take you away
and then i won't have you near

Wow, definitely different for Love or Romantic Poetry. Creeeeepy.
I love the way you created this manifestation of your fear. You have come up with a very original twist on a love poem in my opinion and I enjoyed it very much.
Well done.
Thanks,
Tim
