Flowers That Bloom In the Morning

I've seen darkness battle with the light;
I've seen despair in the middle of the night;
I've seen hatred and I've seen pain,
knives and daggers in the fallin' rain...

Don't panic:
Hope is a flower that blooms in the morning;
Hope is a flower that blooms in the morning...

I've seen murder and I've seen war;
I've seen blood and guts and gore;
I've seen tears and I've seen fears;
Rivers of madness for years and years...

No need to panic:
Peace is a flower that blooms in the morning;
Peace is a flower that blooms in the morning...

Aw, child, it's okay to cry;
It's only natural to wonder why;
But when there's an open door,
you've got to step on through;
You can't be afraid of everything
that's strange and new...

Still, don't panic:
Tomorrow is a flower that blooms in the morning;
Tomorrow is a flower that blooms in the morning...

I've seen the strong devour the weak;
Children abused, week after week;
I've seen greed and bigotry;
Self-righteous insensitivity...

No reason to panic:
Love is a flower that blooms in the morning;
Love is a flower that blooms in the morning...

Whether we believe, or whether we despair,
it's still gonna bloom,
but not till the morning...
