My heart plays a sad little song
That reverberates off each house I pass by
And trails off into the night sky
I've been alone for far too long
I've never felt like I belong
Memories come flooding back as I cry
The sound of crunching leaves is mixed with a heavy sigh
There was a fleeting happiness I couldn't prolong
There isn't much to say
I long for a friend
But I am always alone
So I go my own way
And hope that before the end
My heart will have found a home
