Back to Basics

Contributed by lost_chadow on Thursday, 6th November 2008 @ 12:32:10 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

I'll never go back to the black
no, not the cold darkness from which I derived my original plan of mental attack
Some say hardships give you strength,
but I see no strength in spite
I still don't know if it was courage or fear
that taught me to exploit my own plight
Give up on all hopes of love
so I could write these lines right
walk into the limelight,
envious green in the spotlight
'cause even when my unshed tears
dropped and made the crowd sick
Somebody always came behind me
and made the ladies flip
Now I'm searching for my true blue
the real meaning of love:
loyalty through and through
Yes, the female friends, the fellow men
that have the heart to stand beside me
not just behind me
I'll never go back to the black;
so if this blue never comes through
I'd rather die by the sword
change clothes, as I go
and paint myself red
that's why, in my mind
Black and Crimson are perfectly wed
