Strength

Topic: InspirationalPoems

As I lay here bleeding,
You all just seem to walk away,
This hurt burrows deeper,
I don't know how much more I can crawl,
This sun sets on my tears,
I have tried so hard all these years,
Fought through the pain and heartache,
Cheated death,
And what the doctors had to say,
Its not a miracle,
It comes from my inner strength,
My deep faith,
Spit in the face of hurt,
And screamed above the voice of pain,
Misery was never able to take hold,
I wouldnt let it enter my veins,
I may be young,
But listen closely to what I have to say,
Never give up,
Grow with each day,
Never surrender,
Always fight past the pain,
Never bow down,
Always stand your ground,
Show the world your strength,
Show them that you can,
Take the tears and hurt from yesterday,
And make them a part of your dominant hand.

I definitely can relate to this. Sometimes I have to wonder why the hell should I continue living because I have gone through so much emotional nightmares and it feels like my strength has been completly destroyed.

Great Poem!

Awesome write!
Whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Phillipians 4:8.
Blessings,
Robert Edgar "Lawdog" Burns
