I know nobody is perfect
I know that is what makes us human
I know that I have made many mistakes
And that is why my wings are so broken
But I need to find a way to heal
So I can finally fly and be free
I have wanted to brake these chains
That I have been forever bound
I think I am getting close
But the darkness is still not far behind
Help me get away
Help my wings get healed
I want to fly
I'm ready
Believe that I can
Even if you don't think it
I'm just here trying to fly with broken wings
Hoping not to hit the ground after I jump
Please let me heal and let me fly
I don't want to always be a broken winged butterfly

Love the title.
I really like what you wrote here and how you wrote it. Definitely a great poem especially considering how long it took you to write it.
