Penetration

Topic: oops

Nothing is wrong
Still this all smells of guilt
Repugnant and remorseful
Untruthful from the start
Lies compounded
Lives rerouted
Togetherness remains elusive
Actions personified conclusive
An image of smiles and sunny days
A privilege to have been holding your face
In mine
In time
Give it away

Summer days
Over and gone
Sleeping naked
We have nothing on
Slow caresses
Leading me on
Turning you on
Sliding through
Nothing new
The feeling of being touched by heaven
or the likes of you

Could not hold on
Would not be wrong
Sliced in equal argumentative undertones
Equidistant from a metaphorical microphone
Speak up
Seek up
You can keep knocking, but no one is home

Enter in unison
Come in harmony
A cacophony
Averted
Body inverted
Upside down
On your knees
Inside out
Don’t forget to breathe
You don’t get to leave
Not until
I’m waiting still
Keeping still

Who can blame you
Who can love you
Who has played you
How have you played
Fairly
Squarely
Barely
I accept the blame
I know why I came
To grow into something of which I am not ashamed

This reads like an open letter to life, with a guilty finger pointed straight back at you. I am still in awe at your 'barely there' technique of half expressed thoughts bursting with emotion. Amazing.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
