Smoldering Sigh

selfstruggles

You ask of me...to leave as fast as I came..
Just as the wick yields to the flame.
It will flutter in the breeze… as it goes.
even though it cries to glow.
But with a smoldering sigh...
The dark consumes and the flame must die..
But still within, a single ember thrives...
It will do as I...struggles and survives.
Carving twilight like a surgical knife
Once again casting a shadow of life.
Yearning to breathe existence,
Justice to dwell with consistence.
freed from its smoldering smothering cage.
To burn beyond, boundaries of its own rage.
