First time in weeks
Looking at trees aflame
Red, yellow, orange
Strange feeling in my heart
We are careening down the road
As the radio sings
Our soundtrack for the day
Me and you
God only knows
It's not what we would choose to do
With-without
And who'll deny,
It's what the fighting's all about?
Into the distance
A ribbon of black
Tongue-tied and twisted
Just an earthbound misfit

I really like this. I don't think I could write anything like it. I may be new to this site, but I'm not new to the world and the trouble bestowed by it and you do a great job putting it all to words.

Wow, this is just tune freaking cool, Karabeara! ! ! ! Absolutely brilliant!!!!
The imagery is excellent.....it was as if we were the ones riding around together. Thanks for taking us along.
While I didn't recognize al the quotes I did these:
Tongue-tied and twisted
Just an earthbound misfit I could hear Pink Floyd's Learning to Fly I believe?
So if that's not imagery, is it earagery?
