Not The Way I Wanted To

Contributed by funnyface09 on Thursday, 30th October 2008 @ 10:59:51 PM in AEST
Topic: LoveRemembered

Sitting here
All alone by myself
I thought about you
The feelings I thought long gone
Now resurfaced just like yesterday
Knowing I am not in your dreams
Not now and not ever
Realizing I was never part of your world
Do not know why it still matters
After all these while
I have no reasons to be here
When I should be moving on
And having a life
My heart burdened and lost
I wish the feelings would go
Someday I’ll stop missing you
Knowing you do love me
But just not the way I wanted you to

Well said. Sometimes it's just so hard to let go. Certain people just keep a stronghold of our heart it seems. Best of luck to you. It does get easier, just can't promise you when..
love smiles blessings

yes. well stated. a lot of people can relate to this. love is such a spectacular, painful, gut-wrenching, depressing, strengthening thing...

I like the last line-- Knowing you do love me, but not the way I wanted you to.

Very nice.
