looking down

Grief
|
I look down at nothing
I cry the past away
I cannot escape it
I must stay another day
I look down at emptiness
Full of darkness and despair
I clench my fists, calling out
'Why? Why is life so unfair?'
I'm looking down at you
What you used to be
And now a mound of grass and turf
My future is now behind me

Beautifully tragic....
Nothing more raw than pain of this sort...
You've painted a fine portrait of grief and anguish.....
Thanks for sharing...
