Golden earings
you did wear
when first i love'd you
so,
lost in your hypnotic stare
with nowhere left to
go.
Hopelessly enchanted
my heart was yours to keep,
forever in the arms of love
together we would
sleep.
Golden earings eyes of blue
so easy to adore,
every breath i took of you
made me want you
more.
You
gave my life a substance
beyond what i could see,
and to my heart you taught
the meaning of
eternity.
Golden earings
i still see along with your
sweet smile,
your scent of love at twenty three
like nectar in the
wild.
Golden earings
you still wear like gleaming stars
above,
like dew drops fill the morning air
my heart you fill with
love.
