you do not care

Contributed by lostforgood on Thursday, 20th March 2003 @ 12:05:00 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

I do not understand,
You say you care
And that you’re there for me.

But why is it that I’m still alone?
I’m crying, the tears fall fast
The end is coming,
You all know.

But yet you stand there watching me,
Crying silently
Dying slow

And say you yet ‘I’m here, I care’
Stop saying that!
You aren’t here.
You don’t care.

Cuz I’m still crying,
I’m still dying,
And the end is still coming.

I need someone
To stop talking,
I do not need a hug or words
I need to be held through this.

But yet again,
I am still alone
Crying, dying, trying.

The end, it draws near.

Great poem even if it is a bit contradictive. You are saying that you want people to stop saying that care - "I do not need a hig or words, I need to be held ththrough this".

You want help but only if it is genuine? I am guessing that is what you are saying. I can relate.
