hidden truth

tell me why beauty lies beneath the lightest stone
hidden by the tallest grass always placed alone
never found never touched or seen the light of day
till that rock was moved by evil hands and that beauty turned to gray
it only takes a little evil to change the purest soul
after that morbid thoughts start to take control
common sense is pushed aside god is soon forgotten
a precious mind has been corrupted that soul is still not rotten
we the people serve as guides to lead the lost and strayed
to the loving hands of god where there promised to be saved
we see anger we see pain and the violence that it brews
we see danger but we remain the few still living true
