Linen Sea

Contributed by wizard on Wednesday, 22nd October 2008 @ 09:27:48 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Woven within this sublime sea of linen,
Ripples, crashing waves, and shifting tides entice,
This splendid night we hoped would be, here at last.

The moonlight shimmers on its vast silky surface
As we frolic in every ebb and flow … undertow ripping, incessantly…
Not a ship in sight, each surging swell ours for the taking.

Drenched in the delight of our delicate, modest sea.
Riding each soaring salty crest , engulfed by every pulling through.
Winds scream across our lobes, dripping necks guide our tongues.

Tidal fervor billows, commanding our every move
as we eagerly navigate these treacherous waters;
Hurricanes met with disregard as our own storm rages.

Tsunamis briefly rise but quickly yield to our wake,
Returning from whence they came; dolefully,
Shamed by our splendor and our magnificent voyage.

As we tread, rogue waves arise, yet pale beside our arousal.
Drowning in the rippling spread, not a care exists;
With great pleasure we succumb to its wrath, ever willing.
