One for the Road

I love that chrome and paint all shiny, few more chicken lights would be nice.
Rap her up in boogy, tap the brakes but twice.
We got places to get to, black ribbon shooting straight.
Zipper lines and caution sighs, leaf of tree out in flame.

One more for the road, tip the cup straight up.
Got to get that java down to wake these tired eyes up.
Its a rolling song, a wanderlust mood, toe tapping to the tunes,
more new places, different faces, chatter on the cb.

Soon the miles will get the windows dirty, pictures through the bug cemetery.
I, having a fit, love the lines all clean and smooth.
Not a speck, not a spot, I lust after my shiny chrome.
Few more chicken lights please and I'm gone again.

One more for the road.........

Ah, post Beat road poetry. Nice one.

Yep, pop some yippee beans and watch out for the pink elephants, 'cause I got a load of Batman comics and prophylactics to deliver to the Gallup policeman's ball by sunset.

Seriously, Shelly, I understand the chrome thing, and its a country built for travel. So drop the clutch and hold your crutch - we ain't stopp'n till we get there!
