Broken Contract

Momentary Laspe in concentration
and how I don't listen to my intuition.
Results in what you see here today
little moments that add up to larger problems,
and the untrue statment of
'where theres a will theres a way'
As a child with big imagination
and your future dreams are endless.
To your former self, years on where your life
it just seems endless
Where your heart feels like a sponge
soaking everything you see.
To it drying up completely on an endless sunny day
Untill I don't even recognize me.
The stars they line a future path
mapped out for them to see,
the only person in the dark
now seems to be just me.
I wish upon a bright big star to tell me what to do
and then the star burns out.
And theres no one left to explain
to tell me
help me
figure out
what its all about.
I focus hard i try to learn
but all it seems to do is burn.
Right through my chest.
