why do you persist to make me feel this way,
never knowing whether this is real or fake,
I am so confused.
You give me these hugs that make me feel like you like me,
then you turn around and say only friends we will be,
it's not like you say it to my face or when I am around,
but people tell me these things when I come back though I hear no such sound,
Why can't I just come out and say it,
I love you.
No,
no way,
I can't just say it I need you to too.
Why can't I find the words to express my feelings while not hoping for you say them back,
why can't I tell you and drop this act,
In your arms I feel safe,
warm,
hope
I can't shake this feeling,
can't scrub it off with soap.
I need to know how you really feel so I can move on,
So why can't I ask you, outloud and for real.
Because you'll reject me,
so cold and unfeeling,
you'll forget me,
I can't take that, but you need to know,
and I have to tell you,
although you may not love me,
I'll always love you.
