James Blunt had a point

Contributed by franciswolf on Friday, 17th October 2008 @ 12:08:22 AM in AEST
Topic: sarcasticpoetry

I was surfing on the Internet and I came across a face
From the past and as it passed it brought the trace
Of a feeling that I had when we were still together
And I never thought a video could do that but it did and I shivered
Cause

Oh my god
James Blunt had a ******* point
That crazy ************ had a point
And you could not even imagine how many times I’ve changed the station
When that annoying song kept on playing but I wouldn’t be sincere without saying,
That whiny ************ had a point

Please excuse my poor expressions but I need to defend
The fact that in this situation I’m seriously beside myself
Because I never would have guessed that I’d ever be blessed
With the same ache in my stomach as that ****** ***, I confess

But I saw your face and I’ll never be with you
And the words came through and they never rang so eerily true
That all I could think was I’ve heard this once before
On k rock sixty seven eighteen one two point four

Oh my God
James Blunt had a ******* point
That crazy ************ had a point
And you could not even imagine how many times I’ve changed the station
When that annoying song kept on playing but I wouldn’t be sincere without saying,
That whiny ************ had a point

Love the title, love the idea. The poem itself could have been a even more extreme, and quite a bit smoother.

This piece feels like a convo had after a night of drinking and "in vino veritas" has run its course like a cold slap it wakes up what one was in lament while letting it go... Good work!

Thanx for the post

Yang

There comes a time in every young man's life with soft pop glop starts to make sense. Put on some ACDC my friend, and the sense of it will pass...
