I Lay Awake at Night By Myself and Wonder What He'sThinking About

Does he know what I'm thinking right now?

He's laying on the bed, 5 feet away from me.
His eyes are closed, and he's facing the opposite direction right now.
Does he know what I'm thinking right now?

I'm growing as a person; I'm reflecting on my actions.
I'm hoping I can make a living, making him smile like he is right now.
Does he know what I'm thinking right now?

And he's like electricity and I am a light bulb; he gives me power.
Does he know what it's like right now?
Does he know what I'm thinking right now?

I'm painting a picture with these words, burning this image in my head, on my sleeve.
And while he's strumming his vocal chords tonight; my ear's are drumming with the melody he's making my heart sing right now.
Does he know what I'm thinking right now?
