Brian--part 2

Contributed by karoody on Thursday, 20th March 2003 @ 12:45:00 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Go ahead and laugh

Cause I know this is gonna hurt

I see trouble waiting behind that rock.

Trying to do the right thing

So why does have to be this hard?

I know life isn't supposed to be easy,

But there's got to be more than this

'Cause nothing is certain-

I can't even count on my love.

Why does it always end up like this?

Over and over, the same painful circle

I feel that I can never be happy

Stupid, lying to myself

Just to avoid admitting

That I made a mistake for three years

It was all a waste of time

For I knew it wasn't forever

Just couldn't let go

Wouldn't see the truth.

"Just couldn't let go, Wouldn't see the truth." How well I know this sentiment.

"In loves chains does reason flail, seeking freedom from the pain but letting go means losing all and tears that fall like rain." - Doug Morton

Be well my friend, time heals the heart though it may leave a scar.

this one i can identify with exactly... i stayed for four years, until he choked and pulled a gun on me... then i drew the line... five years later, i still feel pain, but not as much as i would if i had stayed... thank you for the reminder... my blessings, dear kara...

This hit home too me. I know how you feel.
I was in deeper, 14 years deep until I woke up and realized that if I didn't go I would perish. A wounded heart, soul mind and or body takes years to heal but you are heading in the right direction right now. Believe me when I say. You will find love a love so true it will make you ache but it will be a good ache!! Love and peace too you!!

I truly believe that it can be so hard to leave when you have invested years of your life. You feel as though you have failed but it is not a failure as it takes two people to make a relationship work and if the other person is not supportive or loving, there is nothing you can do to make it so.

Learn from the past and look forward to the future.

Kara, "Time wounds all heals" Just remember that. You're better off without what he put you through, no matter how hard it was to let him go.
